Cyprus villas

8 years ago Agios was born and with it a raft of new concepts that have become mainstay features on many cyprus villas websites.

From virtual tours, interactive google maps to better photos, users enjoyed a better experience online.

What we are now in the process of cooking up in the lab will not be so easily replicated by competition websites, the aim of this tool is to make our villas in cyprus website a completely different user experience altogether.

We are about to launch our first mobile application that will give customers one of the most powerful tools out there to find places of interest, restaurants and reviews, point to point driving directions, distances, golf booking functionality and a plethora of other features that amount to customers having a panel of experts on cyprus, right on their mobile devices.

Welcome to another future.

Villas in Cyprus

There are a few different options when scouring the internet for villas in Cyprus for you to choose from so let’s go through the options.

Aphrodite Hills

This is perhaps one of the most popular destinations on the island when it comes to villa rentals. With their new contemporary designs, large gardens, heated swimming pools and proximity to the golf course and villas square amenities, there are many reasons why this resort is a priority on many peoples search lists.

One of the added benefits of Aphrodite Hills is that it is only 12 mins drive from Paphos airport. Added benefits include restaurants and mini supermarket on-site as well as a spa and tennis academy.

The biggest selling point is the Aphrodite Hills Kids Club.

Pissouri

A very scenic location in Cyprus, Pissouri is our personal favourite. It is a quiet, stunning location with a lovely beach, perfect for the family holidays. The bay and village itself of course boast a selection of restaurants to choose from and we highly recommend visiting this area of Cyprus even if not booking a villa here.

Coral Bay Paphos

This is mainstream Paphos, being a seaside town it is going to be very popular with tourists.  Agios does boast an extensive range of beachside holiday villas in the Paphos and Coral Bay areas. Most properties are within a few meters of the sea, one particular project is our absolute favourite – beach villas in Cyprus

Cyprus Property in the Heart of Wine Country

Minthis Hills Property in Cyprus – Reviews wines in Cyprus – 23 September 2010 – Cyprus Property Developer.

Minthis Hills (www.minthishills.com) is in the heart of the wine producing area around Pafos, where many excellent red, white and rose wines are produced.  Owners will be able to rent vineyards on the resort to make their own wine and large areas have been set aside for this purpose.

For those of you wishing to sample some of the wines in the area, the closest to Minthis, Tsalapatis has a lovely Sauvignon Blanc, as well as a number of good reds and rose wines that merit a trip to the winery for a wine tasting.  Another winery, currently growing organic as well as traditional wines which is growing in reputation is Tsangarides Winery in Lemona village, slightly further away.  The Cyprus Tourist Board has created a number of wine routes for those of you wishing to do a complete wine tour, though we would advise not driving yourselves!

Cyprus has the oldest wine in the world that is still in production, Commanderia or Commandaria.  It’s not one for purists and is really more akin to a fortified wine – excellent for cooking, but it has a long history going back supposedly around 4000 years, when Homer mentions a sweet wine produced in Cyprus.

It is made from the local Cyprus mavro and xinisteri grapes and its name derives from the Gran Commanderie, an area surrounding Kolossi Castle which can be found just west of Limassol.  The Castle was the Commanderia  or headquarters of the Knights Templars in the 12th Century. The wine was consumed locally, supposedly by the Knights and also exported to many European Royal Courts.  Legend has it that, during his Marriage with Berengaria, in the 12th century Richard the Lionheart pronounced Commandaria to be the “wine of the kings and the king of the wines”
